Kia ora, I'm Frankie and I'm a registered psychotherapist, counsellor and teacher with specialised training in working therapeutically with children, as a child-centered play therapist.
I use a person-centred approach with children and adults, and use Transactional Analysis and Gestalt approaches to inform my work. I am approved to work with ACC sensitive claims, 

I have been working with children and families since 1997, first in Montessori, then special teaching needs in Christchurch. I spent 4 years providing learning experiences outside the classroom, helping establish Kid's Edible Gardens in Christchurch and working in Discovery at Canterbury Museum.

During this time I studied early childhood development, gaining further teaching diplomas in Montessori (2001) and early childhood (2004). I taught at Aspiring Beginnings for 13 years (2003-2016).

Seeing young children needing more emotional support, I began my play therapy, counselling and psychotherapy training in Feb 2014.  My play therapy studies continue and I provide training and supervision to beginning play therapists.
